There are few things that I really don't like shopping for. My husband would say that I have a degree in shopping. He's so funny..not. I actually have an MBA from Stanford, but I digress, I really enjoy antique shopping and the occasional yard sale. One of my Navy wives club friends loves to drag me along on her yard saling trips. You just never know what you will find in an antique shop or a yard sale. Some great treasures. Sometimes I even enjoy shopping at the commissary. This weekend, however, we're going to be mattress shopping. YUCK! I hate furniture shopping. We've needed a new mattress for a while now but put it off because we both loath furniture shopping. We always find things we fall in love with but really can't afford. I hate that. I also don't like shopping for shoes. I don't even like wearing shoes. When I was a kid I would only wear them when it was important. Like to school. Flip flops were my thing. I lived about 15 minutes from the ocean. What beach bum kid wears shoes. So think that is where my dislike for shoe shopping started.
After mattress shopping (gag) we're headed to the base for the Freedom celebration. An air show, concert and a massive bbq. I love being a Navy wife. Especially when we are celebrating our country or giving our respect to the men and women who defend this great country.
